After Mr. Fadi Chehadé, President and CEO of ICANN, visited CNNIC with his senior team on February 18th 2013, he sent a thank-you letter to Mr. Xiangyang Huang, Director of CNNIC, and Ms. Qiheng Hu, Chairman of Internet Society of China, to express his appreciation for the gracious reception during the visit to CNNIC. Mr. Fadi Chehadé said that he was impressed by the rapid development of China’s Internet and the work that CNNIC was undertaking, which further convinced ICANN to carry out closer cooperation with CNNIC in the future.

 

In the letter he highly praised CNNIC for supporting the work of ICANN, preparing ICANN 46 Public Meeting in Beijing in April, setting up ICANN Operational Hub in Beijing, etc. At the same time, he spoke highly of the contributions that Dr. Xiaodong Li made while serving as Vice President of ICANN.
