 (Sina Technology) Defrauding netizens of money through fraudulent means, phishing websites have become a vicious power infringing the interests of netizens. According to the Monthly Phishing Websites Data released by a famous security service provider in China, Kingsoft Antivirus, phishing websites increased by 163,000 in May, and daily account-stealing websites are the most rampant.

According to the data of Kingsoft Antivirus, phishing websites increased nearly 163,000 in May, a growth of 67% compared with the number in April, and about 5,254 new phishing websites were intercepted every day. Phishing types accounting for large proportions in newly increased phishing websites are daily screen-name-stealing ones(qzone, qq security center), games (Tencent, Snda), and illegal sales (mobile phone hacking sim card), which increased by 354.41%, 246.25% and 177.85% respectively compared with the numbers in April.

Among them, the most severely afflicted websites include fake Taobao, fake air ticket, fake 5173, fake fuel card, and fake phone recharge. Phishing websites of screen-name-stealing, being imperceptible and hidden, have become the stock-in-trade of law breakers. Defrauders set up various traps, and netizens would get trapped easily. In particular, netizens should be highly alert to frauds in the name of QQ, and should not randomly click the QQ message popped up from strange websites. 

Insiders think that, phishing websites, with low cost and high profit, have become an important means for law breakers to accumulate wealth. “The cost of a phishing website is rather low that it can even be neglected. Although the life cycle is usually only two days long, a large sum of money can be swindled.”
