SHEN Shuo, male, received the Doctor’s degree in Cryptography and the degree of Master in Electronic Engineering at Purdue University in 2007. As the Director of Advanced Research Department of CNNIC, he is in charge of the research and standards work in such areas as Internet of Things, IPv6, security, DNS.

From 2000, he began to be engaged in the research on the security algorithm and protocol of sensor, RFID, intelligent terminal and smart card, achieved leading results in the fields of algorithm and protocols with several papers published. From 2005, he began to conduct research on related standards, especially the research and consulting with respect to ISO security standards. From 2007, he began to work in IETF (The Internet Engineering Task Force), and has published many IETF drafts in the related fields of Ubiquitous Network (low power consumption, low memory devices) and IPv6 algorithm and protocols. He is also the author of RFC5930 and a number of WG drafts and personal drafts. He undertakes research projects and standard-related work in the field of Ubiquitous Network. The research projects include the network architecture of Ubiquitous Network, addressing and resolution of objects, discovery and retrieval of information and technical pre-research and experiments in related security fields. The standard-related work covers promoting standards in IETF, ITU-T, ISO/ IEC, working group of Electronic Tags and other organizations both at home and abroad. He also participated in and accomplished a large number of standards-related drafts and technical guidance documents in the fields related to Ubiquitous Network. Currently, he is the team leader of the Network Architecture Team of Ubiquitous Network of CCSA (China Communications Standards Association).
